In this Drugged Drive Prohibitive System (DDPS) three concepts have been made use of for efficient implementation. The higher Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), which is indicative of the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), the increased reaction time or poor response of the drunken driver and the high variation in pulse rate of the impaired driver. The field trial of the system was conducted on a test bench and also on integrating with a vehicle, obtaining efficient results. The system was examined in an authorised automobile industrial training centre, meeting the industrial standards. This drugged driving prevention system will have a major importance in avoiding road accidents. The possibility of bringing this system into reality is sound and with future enhancements, like the usage of piezo film instead of clip type pulse rate sensor, the scope of this system can be propelled to meet with the needs of the country.
